Transfer your domain to us

For .uk domain names

Firstly, you will need to place a free order for a transfer : Transfer domain to Havenswift Hosting for FREE

Once this is done, you will need to contact your current domain name provider and ask them to change the domain's IPSTAG to HAVENSWIFT  With some domain management companies, it is possible to do this yourself, but many try to make it as difficult as possible for you to move domains away !

When the current domain name provider has made the change we will be automatically notified, at which point we will complete the transfer process.

For other domains

There is a cost to transfer these domains to us but this does add an additional year to the current registration period. You will need to place an order here first: Transfer Domain to Havenswift Hosting

Before placing the order, you will need to obtain an authorisation code (also known as the EPP code) from the current domain name provider. When you have been given the EPP code, place an order for a domain transfer at the above link and during the order process you will be asked to enter the EPP code.

Once the order is approved, the Admin Contact for the domain will be sent an email requesting approval for the domain transfer.

Once approved it can take up to 7 days for the domain transfer to complete.

Please note: For all domain transfers, we do NOT update the Nameservers, you must do that yourself unless a specific and clear request is made via a ticket.

If you are also transferring a website to our servers, you will almost always have less downtime if you update the nameservers first before initiating the domain transfer. For more, information about updating Nameservers read our article about "Nameservers"
